Fees
All civil, domestic relations, and probate cases require filing either a non-domestic sheet or domestic sheet (with case types or party types). If you file multiple cases, you must submit a separate check or money order for each case.
The Circuit Clerk's office accepts cash, cashier's check, money order, business checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.
For Self-Represented (Pro Se)—
***Sheriff Service Fee Change*** Effective 08/28/25 and pursuant to Sections 57.280 and 488.435. RSMo, House Bill 147—All sheriff service fees are to be made payable to and collected by the Sheriff Department. Because of this change, when filing any document with the Greene County Circuit Clerk’s Office that requires a service fee, the service fees must be provided in a separate form of payment as a money order or personal check made payable to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. The Greene County Circuit Clerk’s Office is unable to provide a receipt for sheriff service fees.

* Service fee is per defendant. For service outside Greene County you must contact the appropriate sheriff's department to determine the fee amount and the type of acceptable payment. That sheriff’s department will be who the payment if made out to.
